Consultant Paediatrician and Endocrinologist

Ahmed Massoud, is the Founder and Director of Starlight Paediatrics Ltd. He is currently a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Endocrinologist at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Child Health at Imperial College School of Medicine.

Ahmed graduated from University College London and undertook his postgraduate paediatric training in various London teaching hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College London Hospital and The Royal Brompton Hospital.

He took time out of his clinical training and spent two years in full time clinical research, leading to a Doctorate in Medicine. He is dually accredited and is on the GMC Specialist Register for both General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology. Ahmed then rounded up his postgraduate training with a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship in Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in 1998.

Ahmed has been in private paediatric practice (general paediatrics and paediatric endocrinology) at The Portland Hospital since 1999. He also has practicing privileges at The Harley Street Clinic, BUPA Cromwell Hospital and The Clementine Churchill Hospital. He is a Visiting Consultant for the Gibraltar Health Authority where he has run an annual paediatric endocrine and diabetes clinic since 2002.

Ahmed has been published widely on topics of Paediatric Endocrinology. He regularly teaches undergraduate medical students at Imperial College School of Medicine and is involved in postgraduate paediatric training at his NHS base.  He is a Paediatric examiner for final year medical students at Imperial College School of Medicine.
